about the boomerang

The CAC Boomerang was a fighter aircraft designed and manufactured in Australia by the Commonwealth Aircraft Corporation between 1942 and 1945. During early wartime operations, the Boomerang was mainly dispatched to equip home-based squadrons, freeing up other fighters for use overseas. In later service, the Boomerang was commonly used for ground support duties, cooperating with Allied army units, in addition to secondary roles such as aerial reconnaissance and air sea rescue.

regarding the build

I love that Airfix are bringing out these Vintage Classics. Building the kit was a pleasure, requiring only a little bit of filling and sanding. The amount of parts is pretty small, it could be a contender for a weekend build. I’ve tried to give the tropical look of the box artwork by utilising lighter tones and drybrushing the surface.

A Churchill AVRE of the 79th Armoured Division has arrived to place a bridge on a crossing where the previous bridge has been destroyed. Meanwhile British soldiers leave their Bren Carrier to secure the area.

Here you''ll find my latest scale models, from 1/72 tanks to 1/16 figures.
