about this diorama
A Bofors 40 mm gun is prepared to light up te sky in North Africa. These Bofors cannons were heavily used during World War II, being used as anti-aircraft guns. In this case it is active in the North Africa Campaign with the British 15th Light Anti-Aircraft Reg., 7 Arm. Div. The cannon has been transported with the tractor.

regarding the build
A great kit, which not only is supplied with the tractor and gun, but also several figures to add some life to the scene. This kit is one of the best Airfix Vintage Classics that I’ve built, a so called ‘bang for your buck’.
The plastic base is from Tamiya, where I used some Vallejo Earth texture, dry brushing techniques and dried seafoam to create the desert scene. I also applied some light scratch building, for example the windscreen of the tractor and the visor of the gun. The crates are from a company called Black Dog.
I’ve sold this diorama in 2026.
